About this Brand
Maya Chia is a results-driven clean skin care brand dedicated to creating thoughtful formations with excellent performance. Their products are made with the highest quality natural, organic, and wildcrafted ingredients from ethical growers across the world.
The name Maya Chia comes from the Mayan people of South America and their traditional use of the chia seed in skincare rituals. Chia seeds are the richest known plant source of omega fatty acids, antioxidants, and essential minerals, and Maya Chia’s patented extraction process creates some of the purest and most effective chia seed oil on the market. You’ll find this amazing oil in all of their products.
Maya Chia Beauty was launched in December of 2014 when founder Susanne left her corporate career to pursue her passion. Susanne was always keenly interested in the act of skincare rituals, and how little acts of self-care can profoundly transform the way one feels about themselves. Since its founding, Maya Chia has become one of the most lauded skincare brands in the clean beauty industry due to the incredible products and unique brand vision.
From Maya Chia:
”Maya Chia’s primary goal as a brand: to be grounded (not in marketing) but in high-performance ingredients, science, and results. We are not interested in fly-by-night ingredients or the latest in trends that may not yield the results we’re looking for. We are excited because our ingredients create high-performance products that work, that get results… and in many cases, rather quickly. In all of our formulations, we work hard to create a proprietary synergistic combination of the best ingredients that will deliver on the promise of the particular product and what it’s supposed to do.”
- Made in the USA
- Never formulated with parabens, pthalates, synthetic fragrances, PEGs, or SLSs
Love it. I can see a difference under my eyes.
I wanted to love this so much, however, it always gets in my eyes and leaves a film. I have tried not applying it close to my lower lid yet it seems to always spread somehow.
I love the Eye Achiever! I’ve been using it’s for almost a year every morning along with the Supercritical and there is a huge difference from before. I love it and I highly recommend it!
It's more of a 3.5 stars. I do feel and see the lines underneath my eyes fill out for a while which is nice. The rollerball is just okay, it doesn't allow you to control how conservative you want to be. It sets out more oil than I want especially when you don't need THAT much for your eyes. So instead of letting it roll onto my skin, I just press a bit onto my finger and dab. The smell is a bit prominent but I don't mind that and it goes away after a bit. I guess the problem I have with it personally is that it doesn't seem to last. I have allergies so my eyes tear up and sometimes I have to wipe or rub my eye to dry it up and I have to reapply after some time which is a bummer but that might have to be a personal issue.
