About this Brand
RMS Beauty has a cult following and at NakedPoppy we certainly understand why. The brand offers luxe, clean, organic makeup that goes beyond simply using wholesome ingredients. While other lines might start with organic ingredients, they often undergo so much processing that by the end, they’re similar to man-made chemicals. RMS creates all its products from raw, organic, food grade ingredients in their natural states, leaving their healing properties fully intact. We can’t get enough of RMS, especially the setting powders, luminizers, and bronzers.
The line was founded by Rose-Marie Swift, a prominent makeup artist who’s worked with some of the most accomplished photographers, models, and magazines in the beauty world. Several years ago, Swift began to experience severe health issues, only to discover that many of the harmful chemicals and heavy metals in her system were also in the beauty products she’d been using for years. From that point on, she made it her mission to transform the way women use makeup, and provide them with the healthy, clean beauty products they deserve.
From RMS Beauty:
“After many years in the fashion and make-up industry, I've learned a lot about the impact of daily exposure to chemicals in beauty care products. I've seen what works and what doesn't live up to its promises. I see the results of taking a quick-fix approach to looking good. I know first-hand the price our health can pay in the pursuit of beauty. I realized that what women need is a cosmetics line that is as pure as possible, one that creates a solid foundation for anti-aging and long-term beauty.”

I was given this highlighter as a gift 2 years ago and have only JUST run out. I simply can’t live without it. It highlight my cheeks and under by brow by dabbing it on under or over my foundation. On special occasions I use a blender to dab on a powder highlighter over the top for a more polished look. Either way, I always get compliments on how my skin looks and it looks amazing in photographs. It is the EASIEST highlighter I’ve used (and I’ve used them all) and knowing it’s all natural and cruelty free is so good! Can’t beat it.
I bought this to replace the RMS Illuminator pot that was my 'can't do without' blush and eye shadow base. This one is lovely and gives plenty of options to build cheeks from neutral glow to subtle colour. I use it as an eye shadow base and again, lovely by itself or as a base for smokier eyes. It a good lip glass too - I even like the neutral gloss which i would never have bought if it wasnt with the other four. High Five RMS
I am over the strong dramatic highlighters that were on trend for ages. This is a lovely emollient product that you can tap onto your cheekbones. No glitter, just a natural sheen. The only con is that it does not last that long on the skin but the pot is small and rather flat so it is convenient to take with you and reapply.
I had high exceptions and I’m so glad with the results! I have dry skin and almost all the highlighters I’ve tried feels like it just sits on my skin and eventually settles in with my dry patches. This one felt like it almost sinker into my skin leaving me a dewy glow!! It doesn’t have big speks of glitter, it’s almost like a shimmery sheen. I also think this may be an oil based one?? I like to give it a nice swirl and mix them before applying on the skin. But WOW I’ve been looking for a highlighter that doesn’t make me look like I sprinkled glitter all over myself but still gives me a nice glow and this is it!
Was really excited to try this out since many raved of its subtle sheer natural look. Magic luminizer has actual sparkles and glitter, not at all natural. Beyond this, it did not work on my brown skin. This product was not designed for deeper skin tones, made more evident by the fact that at the time of purchase I couldn’t find any youtubers with darker skin than fair who had reviewed it. I chose it over the Marc Jacobs Illuminator for the sole fact that it was clean, even though the MJ one has been shown to look natural and gorgeous on darker skin. Clean beauty is great but what’s the point when it’s only serving one demographic. Pretty disappointed.
